My philosophy on education is that every student can learn! Each student may have different ways that they learn content
best but they can all learn. With that in mind I plan on engaging the students and getting them involved in their learning
as much as possible. I think that enactive activities help students learn the material the best. I think that it is important
to have fun and be interested in what you are learning. I want to create students who love to learn and who grow up to be
life time learners.
I think that integrating technology in the classroom is one way to keep the students interested and involved in what we
are learning. When ever possible I would like to incorporate technology to help them learn material, review, play educational
games, work on projects and more. Including technology is important for students because it will help to prepare them for
the world outside of school that is filled with all different kinds of technology.

Don't Forget!!
This next week we will be starting our unit on how America got its start. We will start with the Mayflower and end with
a study on George Washington. This unit will end with a project over George Washington's life. (There will be more information
sent home about this project soon)
Students will be bringing home progress reports this week so make sure that you see them and sign them!
We have a spelling test over the new list of words on this Friday. As a class the students have been doing very well
on their spelling tests and I want to encourage you parents to keep doing what you are doing by quizzing them and keeping
them on top of it. Your help makes a difference!
Next Tuesday: The annual Fossil Hill Elementary's culture day begins. So be sure to help your student with their culture
appropriate costumes and their food! Feel free to join us as well. It will be educational, fun, and there will be lots of
unique food from around the world!!
March 10: We will be having an Open House as a school. You will be able to come see your child's work in the classroom
